People in the staff are extremely nice, always happy to help you enjoy your stay as much as possible. Our room was big and during our nights stay we didn't see any insects inside (quite a nice surprise!). Although the breakfast offering doesn't change, it never gets old to start your day with fresh waffles & omelettes. Dinner was nice too, the buffet changing every night (there is even a pasta station should you not be very fond of the numerous ocean food options). As far as activities go, the AM ones were our favorite but there was something to do all day long. For the whole stay, our phones were locked in the safe so we can't say if Internet works well or not. If you go there on your honeymoon, they also pamper you with some complimentary services but I don't want to spoil the surprise.

Ocean Paradise Resort is a true gem ! What an incredibly beautiful place, situated on probably the best beach in all of Zanzibar. You felt like you were at one with nature there, from the yellow basket weavers birds nesting in the open air reception area to the beautifully groomed bungalows on the beach. Everything was immaculately cared for, exceptionally clean , from the amazingly beautiful gardens and pools to wonderful rooms. We were especially impressed with the professional but extremely friendly service. General manager Mr.Bernd Brandt and lovely guest relations manager Ms. Elzilea Botes and they team are doing great job , welcoming guests at dinner time every night, chatting with us so often like we were long time friends. Overall feeling at the resort is comfy and cosy, never overcrowded ,homey ...after few days you feel as you belong there. The staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. Food was very tasty ,good choice,both breakfast and dinner. Cocktails and food at the beach and pool bar,excellent . I would highly recommend OP for an experience you won't forget (for all of the right reasons).

Excellent atmosphere, lovely location with ocean view. Impressive breakfast and dinner buffet - high variety and great taste. Truly lovely place to go. Improvement suggestions: 1: Make an open book/magazine shelf in the reception where guests can leave behind reading material they don’t want to return back home. Environmental solution that provides guests great access to reading material for the many hours by the pool and also possibility to practice other language skills than mother tongue and English. 2: sell/serve salty stuff at the bar. Many hours in the pool + sun calls for salty snacks

Very pretty grounds, wonderfully cared for. Interesting swahili type bungalows, comfy. Beautiful ambience of the breakfast restaurant, fantastic way to start the day. Very nice pool area. Great food, nicely varied. We loved the music program each night.

The hotel as such is very nice, the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Fantastic beach. The tour organizer are very nice and well prepared. Some waiters are very nice.

*The spa was a godsend. *Guest relations went out of their way to help with excursion advice and booking thereof. *The pool and pool bar are very inviting after a long day's tour. *Rooms were always clean. *Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly.
